Posting this to my tumblr might be considered a direct violation of the first item on this list, but I felt compelled to send this out into the ether, if only to remind everyone that behind these little bloggy thingers, we are real people who really need to actually be real people — real people who are good and kind, and caring, and sensitive, and strong, and thoughtful, and who behave with as much integrity as they possibly can at any given moment.

And, yes, we will, without question, falter. We will forget our best-laid plans many, many, MANY times. But it’s the trying that matters, and it’s the trying that gives us purpose.

On that note: Happy 2012; may it be our year.
